Single trip travel insurance
Should you only be taking one holiday during the year, you would choose our Single Trip cover. Whether you are going to Tenerife for a fortnight, a weekend in Paris, or visiting friends and relatives in Australia for a couple of weeks, this policy is designed for your needs. By tailoring the policy to suit your requirements you can have fully comprehensive cover for your holiday.
By entering your destination, dates of travel and the number of people requiring cover you will be given a quotation. Age is a factor in determining the price and it is the age you are when you take the policy out, not the age when you travel. As soon as you have purchased your single trip policy, your cancellation cover comes into force. So you would be able to claim for cancellation should you be unable to travel due to ill health.
Your single trip policy will cover you to travel anywhere in the world, the only exception being anywhere that is on the Foreign Office website as being unsafe to travel to. Even if you are taking your holiday in the UK, your policy will give you cover for cancellation and loss of baggage. Our single trip policy will cover up to a maximum of 31 days away on any single trip. If you ski or play golf, you can add these optional covers to your policy.
It is worth checking your house insurance to see if your personal possessions are covered whilst you are on holiday. If you find that they are you can remove this part of cover from your policy. Not only will this lower the price of the policy but you may find that the level of cover is higher.
We offer three levels of cover. The Standard is suitable for a last minute holiday as it does not give you cancellation cover. It also does not cover your personal possessions. The Essential is for people looking for a comprehensive policy without cover for their baggage, money and passports. Essential Plus is our most popular cover, giving you full medical, cancellation and baggage cover. Should you require a higher level of cover, opt for the Superior policy. Included in the benefits of the Superior policy is an increase in your cancellation and baggage cover and also a reduction to some of the excess payments.
